ALDS Game 2: A's 8, Yankees 2

GAME 2 - Oakland Coliseum
Chen Ming-Wang vs Barry Zito
A's 8, Yankees 2

Oakland broke open a 2-1 game with 4 large runs in the bottom of the 5th off of Wang.  Eric Chavez (3-4 with a homer) singled home Long to make it a 3-1 game.  Jermaine Dye's bases clearing double made it 6-1.  Chavez's solo blast in the bottom of the 7th made it 7-1  New York got one back in the top of the 8th on Hideki Matsui's RBI single, but Johnny Damon's RBI single in the bottom of the inning negated New York's run.  New York went easily in the 9th as reliever Jeff Tam got the final 5 outs in relief of Zito (2 ER / 7.2 IP) who was outstanding in a 123 pitch effort.  Jermaine Dye was the star of the game knocking in 4 and going 2 for 4.  Special note:  Both teams started their backup catchers due to the 17 inning workload that their starters faced the night before.  Jose Molina went 0 for 3 for New York and Greg Myers did the same for Oakland.  Myers was the only Athletic not to get a hit.
Oakland leads series 2-0
