Home runs by Rod Carew (3 for 4) and Don Baylor coupled with the a strong pitching performance by Steve Barr gave 1979 California Angels a 6 - 3 victory and eliminated the 1955 Indians from making the post season. Art Houttemann took the loss. Bobby Avilla went 3-5 for the Tribe in a losing effort. California will head to Toronto for the ALDS
